Corporeal Beast (duo) – Slightly odd method

For long I’ve wanted to defeat the Corporeal Beast. And after countless Solo attempts I decided to accept the help of a friend (I Kingace I) collectively with our stats (Matlocked) we’ve adopted a method which seems to work pretty well, it allows us to keep the whole process reasonably cheap without the expense of Saradomin Brews.

The Method:

Firstly the two of us setup our inventories and armour slots to look like this..

From there we teleport using our Games Necklace, to the Corporeal beast. We then run through the open caves until we reach the door of the beast. From here we both pot up and lure the beast closer to where we’re standing.

Now, the person who didn’t lure the beast enters the room and sets up the required prayers. The beast won’t attack this person as it is only aggressive to the lurer at this point, when the beast is finally attacked by the non-lurer the fight will begin. (screenshot below showing the beast un-aggressive)

(Note: if all fighters leave the room of the Corporeal beast, it’s life points will be fully restored meaning one of us must remain in the boss room at all times.)

When the first fighter is running low on supplies the original lurer enters and begins to help, the person who is low on supplies, then teleports out to get another inventory of food while the other stays to fight, before quickly teleporting back. Having re-entered the boss room the roles are then reversed, each teleporting alternatively to restock ensuring the beast is never left alone, this is continued untill the beast is dead.

This method really does make the Corporeal beast look easy, it takes just a few minutes to kill and could be so profitable especially with the low costing supplies we use. Ryan and I shall continue to do this untill we recieve something amazing!

Hope you guys enjoyed this!

Account Types

Struggling to decide what type of account to make? Hopefully this guide will spark a few ideas off for you.

There are many different account types in Runescape. These account types are suggested by Runescape with  updates and quests this gives people the incentive to get certain items at the lowest level possible therefore being a low-level yet super effective against other average players with the same combat level either in the wilderness or skilling around Runescape.

Throughout my years of playing I’ve tried many account types and have experienced the advantages and disadvantages. Here’s a few examples of account types (note: there’s a lot more than shown):

  • Typical Main account where all statistics are trained to gain the highest total level

https://jagexblogger.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/my-stats.png

  • Level 3 skiller account, no-combat statistics are trained purely skill orientated

Image

  • 1 Defence pure, combat account generally a player-killer but remains 1 defence

  • 20 defence pure, combat orientated 20 defence with 52 prayer for smite

  • Rune pure, generally F2p with 40 defence and high strength

  • Void/ Berserker pure, combat account with 42-48 defence turmoil prayers and created correctly all defence levels can be gained from quests eg; Dragon slayer, Defender of Varrock etc.

  • Barrows pure, 70-75 defence. Combat orientated ability to wield most armours a higher level account close to that of a main

  • Range/ Mage tank, range and magic based account with attack and strength generally kept between 70-75. Account is very effective and high a contender against mains

  • Unique accounts, accounts where they’re trained to look great! accounts such as 10hp pures or 99 hitpoints pures here’s an example of this type of account, this account is level 40-50

Like I said these are only a few examples there are plenty more account types you could try, these are just a few ideas for you to work off, hope this helped you guys!

Super Prayer Potions Summerised

Bonemeal.png + Prayer potion.PNG = Super prayer.png

Super prayer potions require level 94 Herblore to make and are made by grinding wyvern bones at the Ectofuntus in Mortanyia and adding them to a normal
Prayer potion (3). They yield 270 each.

At humanly rates you can:
Grind bones @ 300/hr
Mix potions @ 1800/hr

All Calculations are done based on 99 prayer.

Prayer potions restore 31 prayer points per dose
Super Prayer potions restore 41 prayer points per dose
Super restore potions restore 32 prayer points per dose

Prices subject to change. Click the link for more information on prices.

Prayer potions cost 77.47 GP per Prayer point
Super prayer potions cost 99.56 GP per Prayer point
Super restore potions cost 138.72 GP per Prayer point

It takes around 10 seconds to put an offer in for 1000 Prayer potion (4), which will restore 124,000 prayer points

It takes 5 hours and 26 minutes to buy 1333 prayer potion (3) & grind 1333 Wyvern bones & to mix 1333 super prayer potion & decant them.
This amounts to 5 hours and 26 minutes spent making 1000 Super prayer potions (4) which will restore 164,000 prayer points. Also, you will gain about 360k herblore xp (270 xp each).

It takes around 10 seconds to put an offer in for 1000 Super restore potion (4), which will restore 128,000 prayer points

Obviously, you are limited to trips by your inventory. Super prayer potions give much greater flexibility in devising inventory for bosses and slayer tasks.

You will be able to stay at bosses and slayer tasks approximately 25% longer if you use super prayer potions to restore your prayer. Super prayer potions would be worth it only if you spend more time banking and getting ready for trips then you do making the super potions.

Now, put in smaller scale terms for a task to task basis:

It takes 3 minutes and 18 seconds to make 10 super prayer restore potions that will restore 1640 prayer points

Alternatively it takes no time to buy 13.25 prayer potions that will restore 1705 prayer points

Summary
Personally I felt they were unnecessary  for slayer tasks as I can do any slayer task (including 250 dark beasts) in one trip without super prayer potions.
and actually finding out how much time it takes to make them really finalized my decision. All slayer tasks can be gotten to in less than 3 minutes (from Kuradal at least) if you are worried about not being able to finish a task without banking or without giving up a more useful familiar such as a healer or a combat familiar. The only place I could see them being of good use is extraordinarily high kill counts at Solo Bandos or Armadyl (40+ and 20+, respectively), since each trip requires a lengthy kill count and obviously more time spent in the boss room is less time spent banking.

For information on temporarilly boosting your Herblore level refer to my Temporary Boost guide!

I hope this helped you!

Temporary Boost – Herblore

Really want Overloads? Too expensive to get 96? Can afford 91? No worries, there’s a way you can make your Overloads with just 91 Herblore! It’s simple really, but there’s a few tricks you can do to make it even easier.

Step 1: Have your Extreme Sets and Torstal herbs ready in your bank.

Clean torstol + Extreme attack + Extreme strength + Extreme defence + Extreme magic + Extreme ranging = Overload 3.png

Step 2: Obtain or withdraw your Hell Kitten (Hellcat or Wily Hellcats also work).

Step 3:
Purchase normal stews from the Grand Exchange.
Step 4: Make your way to Evil Dave’s basement west of Edgeville telespot, (glory teleport).
Evil Dave's location.png
Step 5: Drop down into Evil Dave’s basement and send your Hellcat off to kill rats. Loot all brown spices.
Step 6: Once you’ve obtained all the brown spices you want to make your way to the bank and add (3 doses) of spice to each stew.
   +    Spicy Stew.PNG=      Herblore detail.pngBoost
Step 7: Once your all sorted bank everything, and withdraw:
1 Spicy stew (mixed with 3 doses of brown spice)
1 Super restore potion (reset your stats after a failed boost)
4 Torstal herbs
4 Extreme attack potion
4 Extreme strength potion
4 Extreme defence potion
4 Extreme ranging potion
4 Extreme magic potion
After that simply drink the Spicy Stew untill you receive a +6 herblore boost. If your stats are lowered from drinking the stew use your super restore potion to reset your stats, repeat untill you get the correct boost.

Step 8:

After gaining your +6 herblore boost you want to keep it for as long as possible in order to get all of your potions made.

  • Use Berserker Prayer (curse spell) to make boost last longer.

  • Finally remove your bank pin, after every four Overloads you make you need to log into the lobby then log back in, this resets the timer on your boosted statistic, be sure that when you log back in you activate “Berserker” and make the next four Overloads as fast as you can.

And there you have it I hope this covered everything! Good luck on getting those Overloads!

Chaotic Weapons

Since the release of Dungeoneering the Chaotic Weapons have been the number one reward, I myself since this update have believed that having a Chaotic Weapon is a MUST HAVE!

Now having reached 94 Dungeoneering, I’ve had experience with all the Melee weapon types.

Chaotic Rapier:
The Chaotic rapier is a one-handed stabbing weapon with one of the highest attack speeds within the game.

The rapier is very effective to NPC’s with a low stab defence (Dragons, Giants etc) making it the number one weapon for you slayer fiends out there.

It is also considered to be one of the strongest weapons in the game. Under perfect circumstances a chaotic rapier can hit a maximum of 811 in Castle Wars, 710 slaying in Kuradal’s Dungeon, and 616 elsewhere. In addition, the chaotic rapier is only one-handed, which gives it an advantage over the more commonly used Zamorakian spear, given the ability to wield a shield or defender.

Chaotic Longsword:
The chaotic long sword’s slash and strength bonuses are high enough that it is not only the strongest long sword in the game, but is also the strongest one-handed melee weapon in the game! And again being one-handed it gives the user the luxury of a shield for extra strength or defence bonus.
This weapon is commonly used by PVM (boss killers).

Chaotic Maul:
The chaotic maul currently has the highest strength and crush bonus for any weapon usable throughout Runescape!
The 155 strength bonus surpasses the previous record for highest strength bonus, held by the Godswords, by 23. While wearing the best strength-boosting gear, it is possible to achieve 205 strength bonus with this weapon. Under ideal circumstances, this weapon can hit up to 948 in Castle Wars, 862 against undead monsters (using salve amulet (e)) and 820 elsewhere.
This weapon can be used almost anywhere and hits extremely well on waterfiends and tormented demons.

My Verdict:
Having experienced all three weapons I genuinely believe it’s down to you, whatever it is on Runescape you enjoy doing one weapon will beat the other. I personally prefer the chaotic maul as conjoined with Turmoil and Overloads the hits and accuracy are almost un-beatable.

Vote for your favorite chaotic here: Chaotic Weapons Poll.

I really hope this information guide helped you, stay tuned for more!

Ring Of Wealth (Updated)

Contents

* General information
* Teleports
* Charging The Ring
* Wealth-Increasing Abilities Of The Ring
* Ring Specific Drops
* Items
* Monsters
* Personal Experiences Using The Ring Of Wealth

General Information

The Ring Of Wealth, when worn, increases the chance of the player receiving more valuable drops when killing monsters and more valuable rewards when doing certain activities like Pyramid Plunder and Barrows.

The ring is created by enchanting a dragonstone ring this requires a magic level of 68. (See crafting guide on advice on how to make dragonstone rings)

Teleports

As of 15th March 2011 the ring of wealth received many a chance, one of which being a teleport option on the right-click option of the ring. The teleports available are to the Grand Exchange (perfect for banking your loots quickly after monster killing) and miscellanea (this can be useful for treasure trails quests, and kingdom control) The number of charges remaining on a ring is displayed in parentheses at the end of the ring’s name.

Note; Murky Matt of the Grand Exchange will not currently combine charges on the ring, a service he provides for all other types of dragonstone jewellery.

Charging The Ring

The ring can be charged by using it on the Fountain of Heroes below the Heroes’ Guild, the same way an amulet of glory is charged. Accessing the Heroes’ Guild requires the completion of the Heroes’ Quest. When a ring (or amulet) is used on the fountain, all unnoted rings and amulets worn by the player or in the player’s inventory are recharged at once.

Charged rings are tradable, allowing players who have not completed the Heroes’ Quest to purchase pre-charged rings from other players on the Grand Exchange. Charging the ring of wealth and an amulet of glory at the same time.

At level 89 Summoning, a geyser titan can be used to recharge rings of wealth by using them on the familiar, the same as recharging an amulet of glory with the titan. This negates the need to travel to the Heroes’ Guild fountain for players of high summoning levels.

A few common methods of reaching the Heroes Guild include:

– Using a games necklace to teleport to Burthorpe Games Room, and running south to the Guild.

– Use a combat bracelet to teleport to the Warrior’s Guild then run south to the Heroes’ Guild.

– Teleporting to the POH portal near Taverley via Teleport to House or a Taverley tablet, and then running north.

Wealth-increasing abilities of the ring

According to a March 15, 2011 Jagex announcement, it slightly increases the drop chances of many rare items obtained from Slayer monsters and various bosses (for example, sigils from the corporeal beast).

I’ve put together a little list of some other areas the Ring is effective:

– Barrows

– Pyramid Plunder

– Bork

– Impetuous Impulses

– Clue Scrolls

– Evil Trees

– Shooting Stars

Once a valuable item is dropped a message will appear in the game chat, which can be filtered, informing the player that the ring of wealth had an effect on the drop for the player.

Personal Experiences Using The Ring Of Wealth

Commencing the update I have a sum of 145 Ring Of Wealth of which I bought for 9-10k each the price almost doubled after the update therefore made a nice amount of profit. My current slayer level is 90, I’ve used the Ring Of Wealth for many of my tasks and so far have received, 98 Clean Torstals, 200 Raw Swordfish and 1,000 Air Orbs. In my next article I’ll update you of any more drops I’ve received and give a more in-depth review of the ring.
