For long I’ve wanted to defeat the Corporeal Beast. And after countless Solo attempts I decided to accept the help of a friend (I Kingace I) collectively with our stats (Matlocked) we’ve adopted a method which seems to work pretty well, it allows us to keep the whole process reasonably cheap without the expense of Saradomin Brews.
The Method:
Firstly the two of us setup our inventories and armour slots to look like this..
![invent](https://jagexblogger.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/invent1.png?w=645)
![armour](https://jagexblogger.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/armour.png?w=645)
From there we teleport using our Games Necklace, to the Corporeal beast. We then run through the open caves until we reach the door of the beast. From here we both pot up and lure the beast closer to where we’re standing.
Now, the person who didn’t lure the beast enters the room and sets up the required prayers. The beast won’t attack this person as it is only aggressive to the lurer at this point, when the beast is finally attacked by the non-lurer the fight will begin. (screenshot below showing the beast un-aggressive)
![corp lure](https://jagexblogger.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/corp-lure.jpg?w=645&h=424)
(Note: if all fighters leave the room of the Corporeal beast, it’s life points will be fully restored meaning one of us must remain in the boss room at all times.)
When the first fighter is running low on supplies the original lurer enters and begins to help, the person who is low on supplies, then teleports out to get another inventory of food while the other stays to fight, before quickly teleporting back. Having re-entered the boss room the roles are then reversed, each teleporting alternatively to restock ensuring the beast is never left alone, this is continued untill the beast is dead.
![Corp 2](https://jagexblogger.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/corp-2.jpg?w=645)
This method really does make the Corporeal beast look easy, it takes just a few minutes to kill and could be so profitable especially with the low costing supplies we use. Ryan and I shall continue to do this untill we recieve something amazing!
Hope you guys enjoyed this!

I’m not sure how you guys communicate with your friends while on RuneScape, whether you just talk in-game of whether you decide to use something like Teamspeak, Mumble, MSN, or Skype. For years now Skype has been my best friend whilst on RuneScape, giving me the ability to communicate with friends making bossing, slayer, boring skilling and mini-games more fun.
If you are have yet to explore verbal communications with RuneScape I’d strongly recommend Skype, with its fantastic call quality and easy functionality its my number one choise.
If you use another communication source that I’ve not mentioned I’d be very interested to know what it is!

Struggling to decide what type of account to make? Hopefully this guide will spark a few ideas off for you.
There are many different account types in Runescape. These account types are suggested by Runescape with updates and quests this gives people the incentive to get certain items at the lowest level possible therefore being a low-level yet super effective against other average players with the same combat level either in the wilderness or skilling around Runescape.
Throughout my years of playing I’ve tried many account types and have experienced the advantages and disadvantages. Here’s a few examples of account types (note: there’s a lot more than shown):
- Typical Main account where all statistics are trained to gain the highest total level
![https://jagexblogger.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/my-stats.png](https://jagexblogger.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/my-stats.png?w=645)
- Level 3 skiller account, no-combat statistics are trained purely skill orientated
![Image](https://i0.wp.com/i40.tinypic.com/29zq8ic.jpg)
- 1 Defence pure, combat account generally a player-killer but remains 1 defence
![1 defence stats](https://jagexblogger.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/1-defence-stats.png?w=645)
- 20 defence pure, combat orientated 20 defence with 52 prayer for smite
![30 defence stats](https://jagexblogger.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/30-defence-stats.png?w=645)
- Rune pure, generally F2p with 40 defence and high strength
![](https://i0.wp.com/img37.imageshack.us/img37/3055/statsjuly24.png)
- Void/ Berserker pure, combat account with 42-48 defence turmoil prayers and created correctly all defence levels can be gained from quests eg; Dragon slayer, Defender of Varrock etc.
![](https://i0.wp.com/img217.imageshack.us/img217/8890/stolenstats214024.png)
- Barrows pure, 70-75 defence. Combat orientated ability to wield most armours a higher level account close to that of a main
![](https://i0.wp.com/turboimg.com/p/jef1303413711y.png)
- Range/ Mage tank, range and magic based account with attack and strength generally kept between 70-75. Account is very effective and high a contender against mains
![range tank stats](https://jagexblogger.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/range-tank-stats.png?w=645)
- Unique accounts, accounts where they’re trained to look great! accounts such as 10hp pures or 99 hitpoints pures here’s an example of this type of account, this account is level 40-50
![Hitpointed stats](https://jagexblogger.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/hitpointed-stats.jpg?w=645)
Like I said these are only a few examples there are plenty more account types you could try, these are just a few ideas for you to work off, hope this helped you guys!

Botters are literally taking over, everywhere you go 90% of the time you’ll stumble upon a botter. It seems today there’s almost a bot for everything! But what seems to be one of the most common ones to me personally is the “Turoth Slayer” bot, take a look at this picture..
![Turoth Botters](https://jagexblogger.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/turoth-botters.jpg?w=645&h=317)
This picture was taken by my friend I Kingace I
As you can see, things have got a bit out of hand.. I can only presume the bots are here to make money. As Turoths drop good amounts of herbs making them a good source of cash. These bots in my opinion are the result of RWT (real-world-trading) I’d imagine these are the bots of RS gold websites of which they use to make the money which they sell on.
Surely this problem can be sorted? I don’t think botting could get anymore obvious then this…
If you know any other areas where botting is a big problem I’d be grateful if you posted below!
Hope you enjoyed,
Matlocked

Bonus XP or Double XP Weekends are where players gain bonus or double experience when doing certain skills. XP Weekends start generally start Friday and end the following Monday. The bonus experience when training most skills, but does not apply to quests, random events, or XP enhancers (eg: gilded altar for prayer). The experience rate during a Weekend averages out at 1.7 times more XP over the first 10 hours. Usually prices of skilling materials will go through the roof leading up to the weekend, either to be sold a day or two before the weekend to make a nice sum of money, or to use to gain their desired level hassle free. After most Bonus XP weekends the prices of potions and cooked foods plummit in price which is very nice for PVP and PVM activities.
From the evidence of the previous it shows two Bonus XP weekends per year the months are shown below:
March 2010
September 2010
March 2011
A Bit Of Trivia:
The future of Bonus XP weekends could well be opened up to the F2P community. When gaining Bonus XP you’ll have an XP counter located in the top left of your screen built into the mini-map.
My strategy For Bonus XP
Strategy 1 – Money Making:
First of all, when the Runescape website has an update revealing the Bonus XP you should head straight over to the Grand Exchange with a nice cash stack, then what you’re aiming to do it buy as many resource materials as you possibly can! I’ll make a list of the type of items you’ll be wanting to buy below.
– Planks
– Oak Planks
– Teak Planks
– Mahogany Planks
– Raw Lobsters
– Raw Monkfish
– Raw Sharks
– Raw Rocktail
– Maple Logs
– Yew Logs
– Magic Logs
– Bow Strings
– Green Dragonhides
– Green D-Leather
– Air Orbs
– Battlestaffs
– Uncut Gems
– Herbs (Ranarr – Torstals)
– Pure Essence
– Summoning Secondaries
– Herblore secondaries
– Smithing Supplies (Steel – Rune Bars)
– Arrow Making Supplies (Steel – Dragon Tips)
If you buy as many of these supplies as you can in large quantities you could be looking to make some serious profit. I’d suggest buying them just over medium price perhaps 10% higher than they’re medium, and selling the supplies 2-3 days before the Bonus XP weekend begins for 40-60% over medium price, or look on the Runescape/Forums for buyers.
Strategy 2 – Gaining Levels:
Ok, firstly this is going to completely go against the money-making method, but you want to be getting in there early once again, buy the day the update for the weekend is released, buy for high prices and don’t leave it to the last-minute as the prices will increase significantly. One other tip i’ve give before you buy yours items make sure you do your calculations there’s nothing worse than using all your supplies to realise you’re a few 100k experience of getting your target level.
My Plans:
My Runescape username is; Matlocked. I’ve recently achieved 95 Prayer, and have made a lot of money from Slayer and Pking. I plan to use this Bonus XP Weekend getting 91 Herblore to make Overload Potions, I’m extremely excited about obtaining the level and will be working flat-out on the weekend of the 11th as I’m sure many of you will be! I hope you all achieve the stats you’re hoping for! Good luck!
